Access Control Tab of the Add Batch Report Dialog Box
Use this tab to set the security settings of the batch report. You can assign multiple users, groups, or roles to a batch report.
Attention: For more information about Cobra security, see the Security Overview help topic.
Note: Only the owner or any member of the SYSADMIN group can change the security settings, delete, or restore a report.
Contents
Field | Description |
---|---|
Owner | This field displays the owner of the batch report. Click to change the ownership of the batch report. You can only assign a single owner to each batch report. |
User | Users are individuals who can be given the right to open and view the batch report.
Note: Users must have at least read access to a project in order to create a batch report against it.
|
Group | Click
to select a group to whom you want to grant access control to the batch report. Selecting a group makes the batch report shared. Another user can view and use a shared report as long as the
Read Only check box is not selected. In addition, another user can modify a shared report as long as the
Read Only check box is not selected and the user is part of the group that is selected.
If you do not give a group access controls, the report becomes personal and only you and the system administrator can view, use, and modify the batch report. Use the WORLD group to provide access to all users. For example, use this group to provide all users with read access to the batch report. All users you define in the EPM Security Administrator automatically become members of the WORLD group in Cobra. Since this special group does not require you to maintain the users, you cannot select the WORLD group in the Group list in EPM SA. |
Role | Roles define the permissions of a user. Each user has a primary role, such as analyst or project manager. You can override the primary role for an individual by entering a role next to a group or a user. |
Read Only | This option allows the creator of the batch report (or any member of the SYSADMIN group) to provide a user or a group with Read Only access to the batch report. |
